This part of Mayo is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are lots of things to do near Ocean View Cottage – whether your favourite thing is walking, mountain climbing, cycling, surfing, fishing, visiting museums or pottering round the shops – it’s all on your doorstep. Or you could take a drive to Connemara, Achill, Leenane or Galway. You’ll never be short of something new to do.
The ideal place to relax and get away from it all. Ocean View Cottage is a modern holiday home on the side of Carrowmore Hill just outside Louisburgh town. Facing out onto Clew Bay the house has fabulous sea views across the bay towards Achill and Clare Island. Situated on a very secluded road you are away from all the hustle and bustle and can relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. Sit back and enjoy the view – you might even spot some dolphins in Clew Bay.

We recently spent a week in this beautiful house with stunning views across the bay. The house is comfortable, well equipped and has the WOW factor. It is in a perfect location near stunning beaches and local amenities. We will certainly go back again !
The house is really nice – super and decorated with love. Nothing is missing, you feel at home right from the start. Highly recommended. The view of the sea is unbeatable.

In a magical location with stunning views of Clew Bay, Ocean View is a spacious, warm, beautiful house. Tastefully designed and furnished, the house is very well equipped and comfortable. My family spent a very happy week there at Christmas, dividing our time between country and beach walks, trips to Louisburgh and Westport and lengthy meals followed by games around the grand oak table. Relaxing time was spent in the large upstairs living room, sometimes just staring at the view, I would all strongly recommend Ocean View for a holiday at any time of the year.
This is truly an excellent property with all mod cons with a lot of attention to detail to making it so comfortable and a home away from home. Stunning views of Clew Bay. Highly recommended if you want to kick back and relax and get away from it all, very peaceful location.
Stayed in this wonderful house last month for a few nights. Incredible views of Clew bay and Clare Island- one of the most beautiful parts of the county. 10 minute drive to Louisburgh’s charming pubs and restaurants. similar distance to Roonagh, where you can get the boat to Clare Island- an absolute must.
The house has all the mod cons and is immaculate, what more could you ask for?
Brilliant views, fantastic house. All you need in the house. Cosy, with underfloor heating throughout. Stunning lounge on first floor with massive window overlooking Clew Bay. Beds comfortable and plenty of space throughout the house. A definite must for another visit.
